1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Small Business Jobs Western New York, a hyper-local job board serving the Western New York region and operated by Courtney Howard Enterprises LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Who can use this site

Small Business Jobs Western New York is intended for two groups of users:

• Job seekers: anyone browsing listings, searching, or signing up for alerts or the weekly digest.
• Job posters: small and micro-business owners in Western New York who create accounts and pay to post listings.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing. By posting a listing you represent that you are a small or micro-business owner operating in the Western New York region and that you are posting directly on your own behalf, not as a staffing agency, recruiter, or third party.

3. Accounts

Job posters must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@smallbusinessjobswny.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines.

4. Listings

By submitting a listing you confirm that:

• The listing accurately describes the job or project, business, pay or budget, and working conditions.
• The listing complies with our Community Guidelines and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including equal employment opportunity laws.
• You have the authority to post on behalf of the business.

We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time, without notice or refund, if we determine it violates these terms or our Community Guidelines.

5. Payment and listing terms

Listings require a one-time flat fee payment processed through Stripe. Each listing is active for one month from the date of payment. Renewal is available at any time for the same flat fee and resets the expiry date to one month from the renewal date.

New York State sales tax is collected at checkout via Stripe Tax. All prices displayed are before tax.

6. Refund policy

All listing fees are non-refundable. This applies to early takedowns, expired listings, and listings removed for policy violations. We may issue refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

7. Job seeker email signups

Job seekers may sign up for the weekly digest or search alerts by providing their email address. All signups require email confirmation before activation. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

8. Application process

Small Business Jobs WNY does not manage or facilitate the application process. Applicants contact businesses directly using the contact information provided in each listing. We are not responsible for the outcome of any application or hiring decision.

9. Limitation of liability

Small Business Jobs Western New York is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of listing content and are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or misrepresentations made by job posters.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, including any employment decisions made based on listings posted here.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last updated.
